Cataract

What is a Cataract?
Cataract is the clouding of the natural lens in the eye. The lens is normally clear and allows light to pass through, producing a sharp image on the retina. Once the lens becomes cloudy it is more difficult for light to pass through causing blurred vision. A cataract is normally related to age, although it can also be attributed to injury, sun exposure, cigarette smoking, and steroid use.

Symptoms of a Cataract :
  • Blurred vision
  • Glare or Halos
  • Color vision loss
  • Double vision
